Definition

A mixed strategy σi\sigma_i of player ii is called completely mixed if σi(si)>0\sigma_i(s_i) > 0 for each siSis_i \in S_i. A behavior strategy σi\sigma_i of player ii is called completely mixed if σi(Ui;ai)>0\sigma_i(U_i; a_i) > 0 for each information set UiU_i of player ii, and each action aiA(Ui)a_i \in A(U_i).

Corollary

Let Γ\Gamma be an extensive form game. Then every Nash equilibrium in completely mixed strategies (behavior strategies or mixed strategies) is a subgame perfect equilibrium.
